The major US carriers have announced their 2025 rate changes.
United States Postal Service (USPS)
USPS peak pricing will end, and new rate changes will go into effect January 19, 2025. Great news, overall rates are mostly decreasing compared to the current holiday rates in place since October. However, some rates are increasing and we recommend you check weights and zones to see how these changes may impact your shipments. The eBay shipping calculator automatically updates when new rates are effective.
Priority Mail rates are generally decreasing for most weights and zones. However, there are some increases for packages up to 20 lbs in Zones 1 –5.
Ground Advantage rates are overall decreasing. However, there are some increased rates depending on weights and zones, including up to $0.24 for some packages under one pound, and up to $0.55 for packages between 4 and 6 pounds.
There will be no increases to Media Mail and eBay Standard Envelope rates on eBay Labels.
FedEx
FedEx 2025 rate increases are effective now. FedEx Ground services are increasing by an average of 4.8%, and FedEx Express services are increasing by an average of 7.5%
UPS
UPS 2025 rate increases will go into effect January 20, 2025. There will be an average increase of 5.4% for UPS Ground, and an average increase of 12.7% for Ground Saver.
