I mailed an item yesterday that was affected by this. Due to my one-day handling time policy, I couldn't cancel the label since the item had already been dispatched. I decided to inform the buyer about this issue via email. I appreciate that eBay has established seller protections. For your information, below is the email I sent to the impacted buyer.

Good morning, Ramona! I wanted to inform you that your order was dispatched yesterday. However, eBay has notified me of a mailing issue that occurred yesterday, impacting many sellers. Some items were mistakenly labeled as hazardous materials. This may affect shipping times, and I wanted to keep you informed. Rest assured, I will monitor the tracking closely and provide updates as needed. Additionally, I will reach out to my local postmaster and the postmaster in Escalon, CA to explore any possible solutions. Your patience is greatly appreciated as I resolve this matter.
