AI Summary

Have you ever lost it and worked to get it back?

Is it something you actively try to achieve or maintain, or do you feel it’s not worth stressing over?

Curious how other sellers think about it.

Great question! I worked hard to get my top seller level. Ita personal pride thing for me. I'm not sure anyone notices except other sellers.

This is something I'm striving for, it's also a personal pride thing for me, a goal to reach for! You never know who might see the label and it may just persuade a buyer to make that purchase over your closest competitor. It's an elite status that I think eBay should promote and recognize more.

I love your office Danielle it always makes me smile. I personally am not aiming for top rated right now. I just strive to keep my seller level above standard. One day :)

I have it. When I moved, my sales dipped and i lost it but worked hard to get it back. ebay says "We support Top Rated Sellers with exclusive benefits that can help boost your listings visibility, improve conversion, save money, and protect you from abusive buying behavior and events outside your control." but not sure you save money unless you are also offering free returns .. does anyone know?

I don't think buyers really look for it. They are more focused on price and return policy.

I work very hard to maintain my Top Rated Seller status, so being dropped to Above Standard is truly discouraging. It’s also concerning to think about losing visibility for my listings, missing out on exclusive benefits, and no longer receiving the cost savings that come with Top Rated status.

I use to be a top rated seller for years, lost it found it lost it again. I feel it is slightly unfair because we as sellers are at mercy of the Post Office or UPS. We get it shipping within 24 hours turn around yet we get hit because the post office in my case scanned it late. I fight bad reviews unless it is well earned. The program doesnt give you that many benefits anymore. This is saying from a seller since 2003. I have seen many changes and reinvented myself and my inventory a few times.

I think having good reviews and return customers and by word of mouth is more important these days that TOP RATED SELLER, the only upside to being top rated is perhaps advertising. Not what it use to be. Smiles Don't let it discourage you if you loose your status. Good luck.
