Is anyone planning to attend eBay Open: On the Road?

They just announced stops in:

  • San Diego (May)

  • South Florida (Oct)

If you are, which city are you considering?

Would be fun to see if any of us end up at the same one❤️💙💛💚

Thinking about business protection & liability… curious what others are doing?

Hi everyone 💛

I wanted to share something that came up recently that really got me thinking…

I was tuning into Chicago eBay Seller Circle’s meeting (huge thank you to Louis for always being so welcoming to our RVA group!), and they had a guest speaker, Dayton Leclercq, talking about business insurance.

I’ll be honest… it made me pause a bit.

Between:

  • running an eBay business

  • hosting monthly in-person m…

📣 Newsletters & Sales - how do you stay consistent?

I’ve need to work on my eBay store newsletters and thinking about how to build a more regular rhythm with both newsletters and sales.

  • 📬 Newsletters → 2x a month

  • 🏷️ Sales → more frequently (weekend-based)

But the consistency part is where I struggle.

Do you have a system for this?

  • Do you send newsletters regularly?

  • Run weekend sales?

  • Or is this something you want to do more of?

I’m wondering if we could t…

How important is Top Rated Seller status to you?

Have you ever lost it and worked to get it back?

Is it something you actively try to achieve or maintain, or do you feel it’s not worth stressing over?

Curious how other sellers think about it.

Shipping Strategy Check-In - How are you handling it?

At last night's meetup, shipping came up again.

Some sellers

  • use calculated

  • use flat rate

  • switch carriers based on cost

  • add disclaimers in listings

  • stick with one service for consistency

What are you currently doing? Let's help each other!

I offer free shipping and build the estimated cost (including materials) into my listing price, based on rough weight and dimensions to the farthest zone (90210). I ch…

How Do You Organize Your Shipping Supplies?

I keep a small set of shipping supplies close at hand and restock weekly so I’m not constantly digging through storage.

Poly mailers, tissues paper, bubble wrap/honeycomb paper, boxes, tape, just what I need for the week.

It helps me move faster and keeps shipping from feeling overwhelming.

Curious how others do it:

• Do you keep everything in one main storage spot?
• Do you create a “working supply s…

Where do you go when you get stuck as an eBay seller?

One of the topics we’ve been talking about lately in RVA Seller Circle is something every seller experiences sooner or later - getting stuck.

Sometimes it’s a policy question.
Sometimes it’s promoted listings, shipping, or returns.
Sometimes it’s just figuring out the next step in your business.

After 26+ years selling on eBay, I’ve learned that the hardest part often isn’t listing or sourcing, it’s …

I’ve been thinking about expired inventory lately…

For anyone selling items with expiration dates (skincare, makeup, food), what’s your strategy when something doesn’t sell in time?

And how are you handling it on your books?

Is anyone interested in trying eBay Live?

eBay just opened registration for more sellers to apply for eBay Live, their livestream selling platform.

It made me curious how many sellers in our group might be interested in experimenting with this format. I know so many already do on other platforms.

A few questions for the group:

• Is anyone planning to apply for eBay Live?
• Has anyone already tried live selling on platforms like Whatnot or Po…

  • Accountability for listing?

  • Help with strategy (promoted listings, shipping, offers, etc.)?

  • Motivation when things feel slow?

  • Networking with other sellers?

Did you know you’re not limited to just one Seller Circle?

I’ve joined several across different regions because I love seeing how other chapters run their virtual meetings. Each group has different energy, and I always pick up something new.

For anyone newer to Seller Circles:
You’re not limited to just your local chapter. You can join and attend multiple chapters, especially virtual sessions.

It’s been a great way to:
• Stay accountable
• Connect with seller…

I figured out what to do with shipping!!

So as I have said before I do use Chat GPT A LOT! So I asked her what to do about shipping since I want to change it based on the cheapest service. She told me to select standard shipping ( there is just a blanket option in shipping services, which I can't believe I missed!) and then add a disclaimer to the bottom of each listing. Here is what we came up with

"📦 Shipping: USPS, UPS, or FedEx will …

💀📦 Confession time: How big is your death pile right now?

Confession time 😅
How many items are sitting in your profit pile / death pile / unlisted stack right now?

Mine is… very visible at the moment 👀💖 (sharing a photo for accountability!)

  • Is yours neatly sorted or pure chaos?

  • Is it a few items or a room?

  • What’s stopping it from getting listed - time, photos, decisions, energy?

No judgment here - just curiosity and shared reality.
I’ll be tackling mine during…

Physical inventory check-in 🧺

10 blankets. Bag #3. Not listed. Fixed. Now Bag #4.

Black hole of eBay… fake or real?
I know these were listed at some point.

How do you track physical inventory so it doesn’t disappear between bins, bags, and good intentions?

What are you working on right now?

Could be listing.

Could be organizing.

Could be sourcing.

Could be starting a pile and deciding where to start.

This is what's my right now👇 Pulling expired goods and doing a cleanup pass.

If you're joining our monthly meeting or coworking this week or next, drop what you're planning to work on or just say "showing up."

That counts too💙

What helps you stay motivated when listing feels hard?

A very real look at my standing desk today, cluttered, mid-process and waiting on photos 📸

Being in community helps keep me in check. Seeing and hearing others work is surprisingly motivating.

📈 Promoted Listings: How’s it going so far?

We’re about a week into the Promoted Listings changes, so I’m curious how everyone is feeling so far.

For me, I’ve seen a mix of promoted and organic sales since Jan 13. Nothing dramatic, but enough to make me pay attention and ask questions.

Confession time 😅 Do you ever shop your own inventory?

I realize that sometimes I pull from my inventory for real life, gift bags, wrapping paper, notebooks, napkins, even a last-minute gift for someone.

It always makes me laugh because I technically “own” it… but also don’t? 😂

Does anyone else do this?
• For personal use?
• Emergencies?
• Or do you have a hard rule of never touching inventory?

No judgment either way, just curious how others handle this!
