Notes from the Seller Circle event on Monday 10/27/2025 at 7pm.

Elevate Your eBay Game with Luxury on a Dime

Here are some notes from today’s event. 

  • Have 8-12+ photos in your listings. 

    • Depending on the item, that is the minimum requirement that eBay will say is needed for optimum search. Can’t get to that many photos? Try doing a zoom of part of the item as another picture. 

  • Use the dropdowns for details that you can’t fit in your title to make it searchable

    • Your item description will not be part of search unless the buyer uses the left-hand navigation and selects “search in description.” Most do not do so. 

  • Store setup for Growth Roadmap.  

    • Use AI to help you create the items that ebay is asking for to complete your store. Video, banner, etc. 

  • Top Rated Seller & Visibility. 

    • The higher you are rated, the higher your items show in search. 


Top Rated, Top Rated Plus.

  • Shipping- meet your promise of shipping. Same day, 1-day, 2-day, etc. Meet the number you promise. You can use 6am as the time required in a paid order to count. 

  • 30-day free returns. Necessary for Top rated plus rating. Some suggest going to 60 day returns for the holiday season. 


Driving repeat sales

  • Make a buyer group for people who are buying from specific categories. 

  • Automate newsletters to those groups with info: welcome letters, coupons, sales events, etc.

  • Build loyalty - when they trust your brand, they are  more likely to buy from you again. Upsell. 


Marketing vs Advertising. 

  • Marketing is free to you. You don’t pay to use them. 

    • Setting up a discount or offer.

    • Sending offers to likers. 

  • Advertising- You pay to use the service, even if the person doesn’t buy. 


Take Action

  • Register for a Seller Clinic Session- link: ebay.com/sellercenter/growth/seller-clinics

  • Run your Listing Quality Report on ebay hub and update weak listings.

  • Review your Stale Listings Report from your Seller Clinic and refresh stagnant listings aka-old listings that are not showing in search.

  • Audit your store setting for banners, vidoes, and categories. 

  • Set up you Buyer Groups and create and send a newsletter, plan for future newsletters. There is a limit to how often you can send/they can receive.
